All we want is easy, quick-fix, delicious recipes to make for our loved ones. That is the world we live in..we all want instant gratification, including me! Guess we have too many things on our platter these days and we all struggle for time. Mornings are especially difficult as we have too many things running on our mind and in the house. Don’t they look tempting? Will you believe me if I told you that these can be made even on your busiest day? Yes, they are that easy to make and also consume less oil as they are made in Appe Pan. You can make them in advance and keep in an airtight container, warm them before serving and sit back to enjoy the compliments that will come your way. Made with basic ingredients easily available in the kitchen, this can make for a healthy breakfast or as a party snack. This is my mother-in-law’s family recipe. Without much ado, let me share the recipe with you.
3/4 cup rawa
1 1/2 cup curd
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
1/2 cup carrots (optional)
1 onion, finely chopped
3 green chillies, minced
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp crushed ginger
2-3 tbsp chopped cilantro
Whisk the curd and salt together.
Lightly roast the rawa.
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix it well.
Check salt and add if necessary.
This should be the desired consistency. Not too thick nor too runny. Add curd or rawa accordingly.

Else you can deep fry them.

Anyways, coming back to this recipe, heat the pan, add a tsp of oil in each mould. Now pour a spoonful of the batter in each of them.
Drizzle some oil over it as well. Cook it for 2-3 minutes, till they turn golden brown. Turn them to the other side and cook again similarly.
Once evenly cooked, take them off the pan. Serve them hot along with any chutney/sauce. I got this Serving dish from Amazon. This serving dish surely did help me highlight this dish even more! Rawa Paniyaram in Appe Pan can also be given to toddlers/children as finger food while they also make a good meal for lunch box. Whatever is your excuse to make them, I assure you that you will not regret it. They are just too good. The taste still lingers on. Enjoy these while they last!
