Toasted Almond Coffee Bark takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and makes the perfect gift for family or friends! Imagine all the deliciousness of coffee, topped with almonds and pistachios,which once you make this coffee bark and crack it into pieces, you simply can’t stop munching on them! A no-cook recipe.
When your girlfriends gather for afternoon tea, you need to entertain them with special treats like these! Moving away from your hometown requires a lot of adjustments to do. However, the first thing you look out for is to make new friends in your current hometown. This need was a common factor amongst us 5 girls and that is why and how we all became friends. We try to hangout together as much as possible, try out different new restaurants, do fun stuff together, have sleepover, etc. Every month, one of us invites the group over for evening tea and snacks and it was my turn in February. My menu consisted of One Pot Indian Curry Pasta (on public demand) and these delicious Toasted Almond Coffee Barks along with Indian Masala Chai.
I enjoy making barks especially during the holidays. Spring break is fast approaching, kids will be home and constantly demand for something tasty to eat. I see this as a great opportunity for us to prepare this coffee flavored bark in bulk. A quick on-the-go snack that is addictive and appetizing. Did I tell you that it is a no-cook recipe as well?! Too good to be true right! Such simple, easy to make recipes are always a bestseller on my blog and this one surely makes it to that list. I discovered Barks only when I started food blogging and have been hooked onto it ever since. The best part of Barks is that its a no-cook recipe, can get as creative as you want with the recipe, super easy to make, great on-the-go-snack and of course super yummy to taste.
The Roasted Almond Coffee Bark recipe is all of that. Here is what you need to do. Dry roast almonds for 1 minute. Transfer it to a plate. In the same pan, dry roast pistachios and pecans similarly. Transfer it to another plate and allow the nuts to cool down. In a bowl, add vanilla extract in melted butter, then add cocoa powder, coffee powder & sea-salt. Add the roasted nuts to this. Mix it all together. Melt dark chocolate and pour half of it over parchment paper on a cookie tray, then add toasted desiccated coconut over it followed by the roasted nuts-coffee mixture. Cover it with more chocolate and then drizzle white chocolate over it. Create a pattern with it.
Leave it to set at room temperature. You can even put it in the freezer if in a rush. Once the bark hardens, randomly break it and store in an airtight container. These can also be packed in gift-boxes and surprise your loved ones with some warm tender love in the form of these appetizing Roasted Almond Coffee Bark. I served them when my girlfriends came over for tea and they absolutely loved it. We enjoyed these coffee flavored Bark along with other dishes o the table. Amidst lots of laughter, inside jokes, wine and burps, we had a great evening and I guess that is how it is with friends. So here is to new friends, new city and new memories!
