Raspberry Sunrise Smoothie is a 5-ingredient raspberry mango smoothie! This drink is easy to make and amazingly refreshing. It's not just limited to breakfast!
While most have a busy morning with no time for any frills, I like to take my own sweet time to enjoy it. I am a late riser to begin with and then lazy to top it. I hate cooking something elaborate early in the morning unless I have some guests over. Thankfully KR too is not a fussy eater and prefers something light for breakfast. My morning routine is to come downstairs, put on some music, open all the curtains to feel the warmth of the morning sun, light an incense stick and soak in the fragrance. I then begin to work on our breakfast while simultaneously packing KR's lunch.
Both of us prefer to have a glass of power packed smoothie on weekdays especially. Weekends are reserved for a little elaborate spread. I try to mix up the smoothie ingredients every week. My weekly grocery trips are very exciting at-least for me as that gives me an opportunity to explore new fruits, pair different fruits to see how they taste together and create interesting smoothie recipes in the bargain. Today I have an interesting combo of raspberries, mangoes and oranges. It's aptly named Sunrise because of its refreshing flavor and bright color. If this doesn't cheer up your mornings..I wonder what will!
The recipe is super simple. All you need is one blender like this one - Hamilton Beach blender. Which reminds me, have you checked out our recent giveaway on Instagram? We are giving us this wonderful blender for free. Just follow the steps mentioned on the post. Check it out now, the giveaway ends December 15th 2017. Coming back to this recipe, here is what you need to do. In a blender add raspberries
and honey
with milk
. Blitz to a smoothie consistency. Pour into serving glasses filling them just about half. Rinse out the blender and then add mango
and orange juice
in it. Blitz similarly.
Pour the mango mixture on top of the raspberry mixing a little bit at a time so that the pink and yellow/orange blend together. Don't mix them with a spoon. Let it gradually blend. Serve chilled. This smoothie is different from the rest as you have to mix the raspberry and mango juices separately, but the end result is beautiful! This smoothie drink is a sure shot crowd pleaser and not just limited to breakfasts. Show off your skills with this appetizing drink not just in front of your family but also to the world. Make this easy peasy drink and impress your brunch or shower guests.
