    Calling all sandwich fans

Don't you just love a good sandwich on a lazy day? If you just nodded a BIG yes, then this recipe is just right for you!

We are self-acclaimed sandwich lovers and can literally have it for every meal! I feel veggie sandwiches are so underrated!

They always seem to get less attention when compared to meat-based ones. But let me tell you, vegetarian sandwiches are a delight if you know how to make them.

    Trending now

To make the best vegetarian sandwich, you have to fill it with the best ingredients. This is why I guarantee that you will love this veggie sandwich!

I love this sandwich because it's quick and easy to make. Plus, it's made with all the right ingredients that complement each other and work beautifully together.

There's cream cheese, chili garlic sauce, veggies, and of course mustard in this sandwich! Are you already salivating? Then read on.

A must-have ingredient in your pantry!

    Why Maille Mustard

We are big fans of Maille Mustard! Actually, it was KR who got me hooked onto it a couple of years ago, and ever since we always have a jar in our fridge. That's why working with Maille is always fun!

Maille products are low fat, low in calories and the brand has a long history of keeping people healthy while adding a lot of flavors.

I love the taste and the fact that it’s creamy  – makes it so easy to use in sandwiches! Dijon Mustard gets its name from the town of Dijon, France.

A long time ago, someone used the juice of unripe grapes to create the mustard paste (instead of vinegar). This lends the resulting mustard a bit of spicy tartness.

Maille®‎ products can truly transform simple recipes into delicious food experiences and cooking with them is exciting!

It's interesting to know that from Dijon Originale mustard to Cornichons, Maille®‎ has a rich heritage starting in 1747. If you want to know about Maille, you can check their website.

We love to add Maille Mustard to our sandwiches, and burgers. In fact, I have also used Maille Mustard in some unique recipes like Chilli Paneer Dry, Alfredo Mustard Pasta Bake, and Mustard Rice.

For this recipe, I have used the Maille Dijon Originale Mustard because the smooth and creamy texture is just what I need here. Plus the crisp, tart-and-tangy flavor works best for this recipe.

Maille Mustard is easily available in all leading grocery stores or you can also order from Amazon.

    Why make it

I love making sandwiches like this one because it's easy to make and high on flavor. The mustard sauce gives this sandwich the perfect zing, cream cheese gives the spread a creamy texture and the veggies bring in the required crunch.

    • It comes together in 15 minutes
    • Is vegetarian and gluten-free
    • Needs minimum and basic pantry ingredients
    • You can sneak in veggies
    • Loved by kids and adults

    Ingredients needed

all the ingredients needed to make Veggie Sandwich placed on a table with labels on them

    Needs basic pantry essentials!

Cream Cheese - I have used the cream cheese spread here.

Chili Garlic sauce gives this sandwich the required kick and a beautiful hue.

Maille Dijon Originale Mustard sauce is what I have used in this sandwich recipe today. But feel free to experiment with all the other wonderful flavors Maille offers.

Mixed Veggies - Grated carrots and finely chopped onions along with bell peppers are the veggies I have used. Feel free to add or skip some based on your availability. Lettuce greens are needed while building the sandwich.

Seasonings - Italian seasonings, red pepper flakes, freshly crushed black pepper, cilantro, and salt (only add if needed) help balance all the flavors.

Cheese - I like to use cheese that melts well so I have used swiss cheese. But you can use any cheese available to you.

Bread slices - While I have used white bread slices, you can also use brown, sprouted, or any other kind of bread available to you.

    Here's how to make it
