Paneer Veggie Pizza

Paneer Veggie Pizza is truly one of a kind. Topped with marinated paneer, veggies and cheese, this dish is totally irresistible and as Indian as it can get!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pizza base
  • 200 gms paneer
  • 1.5 cups thick yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chickpea flour/besan
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp dhania jeera powder
  • 1 tbsp chilly powder
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt as required
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3-4 green chillies
  • 3-4 to matoes
  • 1 tsp chilly powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • Bell Pepper slices
  • Onion slices
  • Mozzarella cheese as required

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a bowl, add thick yogurt, chickpea flour/besan, turmeric powder, dhania jeera powder, chilly powder, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, lemon juice & salt. Mix it all together. Cut paneer into small cubes and add them to this bowl. Lightly mix it and coat the paneer pieces with the marinade. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Now to cook the masala which will act as the pizza base, melt butter in a pan,fry minced ginger, garlic and green chillies for a minute. Then add tomatoes and salt. Saute till the tomatoes become soft and pulpy. Add dry spices like chilly powder, oregano, mixed herbs, garam masala and chopped spinach. Saute for another minute or two. The masala is ready.
  • I used a frozen pizza base. Therefore I had to thaw it before using. Spread the tomato mixture evenly over the pizza base. Add the marinated paneer over it. Spread evenly. Then add veggies like bell peppers, onions and mozzarella cheese slices. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes. Let the cheese melt and then take it out. Serve warm.
