First, to make the falafel, add boiled/canned chickpeas, onion, garlic, coriander cumin powder, olive oil, lemon juice, cilantro and salt in a food processor. Irrespective if the mixture is dry or wet, make small scoops and place them in a steamer/idli cooker. Steam for 10 mins. Let it cool.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place the steamed falafel over a grill mat, brush with olive oil and bake for 10 mins or till they begin to brown. Toss them over and cook the other side as well. Let the cool. Now to prepare the sauces, you an use the regular pizza sauce available to make your own. Grind soaked red chillies, garlic, cumin seeds and salt to a smooth paste. Add them to a bowl along with green chutney and basil chutney. Mix them all together. Spread them over a whole wheat naan.
Top it with chopped spinach, grated beets, baked falafel and fat free cheese. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (if not done earlier) and bake this pizza for a good 10 minutes or till the cheese melts. Healthy Steamed Falafel Naan Pizza is now ready!
This pizza can be made on a regular pizza base as well.
