Shrikhand Milkshake - Piyush

Shrikhand Milkshake also known as Piyush is a sweet & creamy Indian beverage made with shrikhand, yogurt, milk & saffron. This aromatic summer drink is yum!

  • 200 gms Shrikhand
  • 1.5 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp saffron
  • 8-10 pieces pistachios


  • In a blender, add yogurt, milk, shrikhand, nutmeg powder, cardamom powder and sugar. Blend all until mixture is smooth and creamy. Pour into earthen/clay pots and place into the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Serve Piyush chilled and garnish with saffron and sliced pistachios. 
You can use any flavor of shrikhand for this recipe. Store bought is also fine. It's easily available in any Indian grocery store.
