  • 2-3 cups dosa batter
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp hummus (optional)
  • Salt as required
  • Cooking oil as required

  • First step is to prepare the dosa batter. You can use either fresh or leftover batter for this recipe. In a vessel, add chopped onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, green chillies, cilantro, curry leaves and hummus. Yes, I like to add hummus to my dosa batter to give it more flavor. Plus its a great way to use leftover hummus. Add dosa batter to this vessel and mix it all together. Add salt as required. Be mindful that the dosa batter already contains salt. Heat a waffle maker as per instructions. Smear it with ghee cooking spray. You can select your desired level of browning and cook it accordingly. Take them out once they are done and serve immediately. These dosa waffles can be served with Tomato Thokku/ Coriander Mint Chutney/ ketchup/coconut chutney or my favorite accompaniment for dosa - Mulagapudi.
