Vegan Cilantro Basil Noodles

Cilantro Basil Noodles is comfort food. It takes just 15 minutes to make! So quick and easy, and made with ingredients you probably already have on hand. Gluten free and vegan, this cilantro and basil flavored noodles is an ideal meal for a busy weeknight on a budget. The whole family will love this one!

  • 1 pkt vegetarian hakka noodles
  • 7-8 almonds
  • 25 - 30 cloves garlic
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 cups basil
  • 2 cups cilantro
  • salt and pepper as required


  • Boil the hakka noodles as per the instructions on the packet. Drain the water and keep it aside. Make a smooth paste of garlic, almonds and green chillies. Heat oil in a wok, fry the basil leaves for 30 seconds and then add the ground paste. Fry it for 2 minutes and then add the veggies like bell pepper and green peas. You can really experiment here. Add any kind of vegetables you like or have. Sometimes I make it without any and the noodles still turn out great. Add salt and saute the veggies till they are done. Then add the chopped cilantro and fry it for 45 seconds. Then add the cooked noodles and mix it all together. Taste and adjust the seasonings as per your taste. Cilantro Basil Noodles are done. Take it off the pan and serve!
