Remember to transfer the prepared hot chivda from the pan to another bowl. If you leave it in the hot pan, it will burn. You can either use plain roasted peanuts or masala peanuts. Soak chana dal for 10 minutes before adding to the pan. It will be easier to bite into. Chana dal can be swapped with Daliya or roasted gram. If you don't have fresh curry leaves, skip adding them.
