Indian Spiced Buttermilk Ice Pops

A cool way to enjoy the traditional Indian chaas/buttermilk is to convert them as Ice pops or Popsicle. Making chaas is a 2 minute job, and then all it requires is a Popsicle mold and a freezer. A Summer snack ready! These Pops are spiced with herbs and spice, making them irresistible.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp roasted cumin powder
  • Half inch ginger - (optional)
  • Salt as required

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a blender, add yogurt, mint leaves, cilantro leaves, asafoetida, roasted cumin powder, salt and water. Blitz well. Pour this into Popsicle molds and freeze them overnight. That is it! Indian Spiced Buttermilk Ice Pops are ready!
