Food, Family, and a Dream Come True
If you've landed here because you watched me on Food Network's newest and biggest cooking competition series, welcome!
I'm Priya Lakshminarayan, the creator behind Cookilicious, a globally inspired vegetarian and vegan food blog that reaches 100,000+ readers every month. I'm also the author of The Essential Vegan Indian Cookbook, an award-winning recipe developer, food stylist, and now, a contestant on Food Network's groundbreaking cooking competition show, 100 Cooks.
For years, I have shared recipes inspired by my Indian roots, my life in America, and my love for creating approachable vegetarian and vegan meals for home cooks. Being selected to compete on Food Network is a milestone that still feels surreal.
And now I finally get to share this incredible journey with you.

What Is 100 Cooks?
100 Cooks is Food Network's newest and most ambitious cooking competition, bringing together talented home cooks, and food creators from across the country.
As someone who built a culinary career through recipe development, storytelling, and sharing food online, stepping into this competition was both exciting and intimidating.
What made the experience unforgettable wasn't just the competition itself-it was the opportunity to connect with so many talented home cooks who share a deep love for food.

Meet the Judges & Host
Alex Guarnaschelli brings world-class culinary expertise and years of Food Network experience to the judging panel.
Nick DiGiovanni, chef and global food creator, offers a fresh perspective rooted in creativity and innovation.
Guiding the competition is Terry Crews, whose energy, charisma, and love of food make him the perfect host for Food Network's biggest cooking competition ever.

How Does Food Network's 100 Cooks Work
100 Cooks brings together 100 of the country's most talented home cooks for Food Network's largest cooking competition ever. Here contestants face a series of unpredictable culinary challenges designed to test creativity, cooking skills, adaptability, and food knowledge.
What makes the format unique is that competitors who are assigned with numbers are selected at random using the Cook Mixer, a lottery-style system that determines who steps into the arena. A separate Challenge Mixer then reveals the challenge they'll face, ranging from blind taste tests and food trivia to intense 30-minute cooking battles.
Adding another layer of strategy, challenge winners may choose to take an immediate cash prize or add it to the growing grand prize fund, which starts at $100,000 and can reach as much as $250,000. In the end, 99 cooks are eliminated, and one home cook earns the title of America's Best Home Cook.

My Journey From Mumbai To Food Network
I grew up in Mumbai, India, where food was always at the center of family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday life.
Some of my favorite childhood memories involve helping in the kitchen, visiting local markets, and enjoying iconic Indian street foods with my family.
Years later, after moving to Orlando, Florida, I launched Cookilicious as a creative outlet to share recipes inspired by those memories.
What started as a personal blog evolved into an award-winning platform featuring hundreds of vegetarian and vegan recipes enjoyed by readers worldwide.
Today, Cookilicious has grown into a trusted destination for:
- Indian recipes
- Vegetarian recipes
- Vegan recipes
- Gluten-free recipes
- Instant Pot recipes
- Air fryer recipes
- Weeknight dinner ideas
- Holiday entertaining recipes
- Global comfort food
And now, that journey has led me to Food Network. Meet contestant number 47!!!

Why Representation Matters
One of the things I'm most proud of is bringing Indian flavors and vegetarian cooking into mainstream food conversations.
Vegetarian cuisine is incredibly diverse, vibrant, and exciting. Indian cooking goes far beyond curry and naan.
Through Cookilicious, my cookbook, multiple television appearances, and now Food Network, my goal has always been to showcase how approachable, flavorful, and creative plant-forward cooking can be.
Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, flexitarian, or simply looking to eat more vegetables, I hope my recipes inspire you to try something new.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to:
- Publish a cookbook
- Appear on multiple television cooking segments
- Collaborate with leading food brands
- Develop recipes for national campaigns
- Conduct cooking demonstrations
- Build a thriving community of food lovers
Most importantly, I've been able to connect with readers who trust Cookilicious recipes in their own kitchens.
That support is what made opportunities like Food Network possible.
