Chutney & Cheese Puff Pastry Straws

These Chutney & Cheese Puff Pastry Straws make a great party appetizer for the festive season! They are also ideal for lunchboxes as kids absolutely love it.

  • 2 sheets of Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1/3 cup mint leaves
  • 2-3 tbsp pine nuts
  • 5-6 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pnch of saffron
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan
  • Salt as required
  • Grated cheese
  • Melted butter as required
  • Chaat masala as required


  • In a blender, add cilantro, mint leaves, pine nuts, garlic, green chillies, lime juice, olive oil, saffron, Parmesan and salt. Blitz to a smooth chutney consistency.
  • Thaw the Puff Pastry Sheets and then spread this prepared chutney evenly over it. Sprinkle cheese and cut it into 1 cm (1/2 inch) wide strips. Twist each strip and place it in a baking tray. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the twists with butter and bake it in a pre heated oven at 450 degrees F for 15 minutes.
  • Once out of the oven, sprinkle chaat masala over it and now your Chutney & Cheese Puff Pastry Straws are ready to be devoured.
