Let's admit it, we all love Asian food! In that, Fried Rice is one of the more popular dishes on the menu at any take out restaurant.
Since it's loved by people all around the world, I wanted to create a simple and easy Asian style fried rice recipe that anyone can make at home!
While I often make Vegetarian Thai Chilly Fried Rice, Korean Fried Rice, and Chinese Fried Rice, I have never tried making a Japanese style of Fried Rice before.
Well, what better time than the present to rectify this mistake, right?

- Made with basic ingredients available in the pantry
- Can be made with leftover rice
- Can be made in just 15 minutes
- Minimal chopping required
- It's a stir-fry style fried rice
- Authentic sauces bring out the real flavor

Serving Suggestions
You can serve this Asian Fried Rice with some hot sauce on top if making it for adults. For children, this is already mildly spiced.
Garnish with some chopped spring onions for an extra flavor and crunch. If you have some time, prepare a quick side of Sriracha Paneer.
Top tips, recommendations, and suggestions
Keep all the ingredients ready and handy - so nothing overcooks or burns while you're searching for a particular ingredient.
Use a wok to make fried rice - vegetables cook faster in a wok. If one is not handy, then use what you normally would cook.
Cook the dish in sesame oil. It imparts a very nice, authentic flavor.
Cook on a medium to high flame - this gives the dish a nice smoky flavor that you may not be able to achieve using a low flame.
It's easy to char your dish on a high flame, so stay vigilant and keep stirring/tossing the ingredients in the wok.
Use left-over rice where possible. If using fresh rice, soak for 30 minutes before cooking it. This allows the grains to separate and not stick to each other while cooking.
Refrigerate the cooked rice for about 20 minutes to cool it down. The key to fresh rice is allowing it to cool slightly before using it.
Scallions or spring onions are a vital ingredient. Do not skip this.
Do not go overboard with adding soy sauce - use the recipe measure.
Since all the sauces contain salt, taste the fried rice first and then add salt if needed.
